Goosetown Tavern: sole remnant of Golden' Colorados German district

The tavern was originally built in 1873 by German immigrant Julius Schultz, who had arrived with his wife, Rosa, in 1868. Built during Golden's largest per capita building boom to date, it was listed late in 1873 as a one-story bakery, costing $1,500 to build, with capital help from Andrew Wall.

That bar use to sit directly across the street of Coors factory. When it closed in 1997, after being there for over 100 years, the actual oak bar itself was moved to a new Goosetown Tavern.

So you can go sit at the same oak bar that all those people back then sat at.While I might add, a lot of famous historical people sat there.
