Instead of a last meal, Tennessee convict Philip Workman requested that pizza be distributed to the homeless in Nashville.

(Prison officials denied his request, but local groups passed out pizza in his honor.)

On June 9, 2009, singer-songwriter Nanci Griffith memorialized Workman's case in the song "Not Innocent Enough," to which John Prine contributed the coda in voiceover, "My name is Philip Workman. I was not innocent enough."
